Isle of Sky Mountain Clouds.jpg
These are clouds occluding the peak of a mountain on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. This is also known as orographic uplift, where moist air comes into contact with the mountainside, causing it to elevate from the ground toward cooler air at a higher altitude. A darker cloud and rain showers often develop on the leeward side of the mountain, here on the right.
