About Visible Light Pictures
When I came up with the name "Visible Light Pictures" for my site, I thought it was catchy. It also describes the eclectic and varied nature of my photography- images that exist within the spectrum of visible light. That covers most everything available to the unaided eye. Little did I know, there are large numbers of people searching the web for actual pictures of visible light- prisms and the like, I guess. I hope they're not too disappointed.
I got serious about photography back in the mid-70s. I’ve been digitizing images from my 35mm film archive a little at a time. A few of these are on my site now- see if you can find them. More will be coming. I made the jump to digital just a few years ago and haven’t shot a single frame of film since.
I’ve categorized my pictures into various galleries, each one representing a general theme. There is a bit of overlap between the groupings and you may see some pictures repeated across several galleries. I add new pictures as often as I can, so please check back in from time to time. For repeat visitors, I've tried to make it a little easier to find my new work by loading those shots in the "New Photos" gallery.
Comments about my work are appreciated, as are large-scale purchases. I hope you like what you see.
Steve
